TMT~Thursday Morning Thought~May 29

Hello faithful readers,
God is truly amazing. This past month has been truly remarkable! The school year has come to a close and now the new year is beginning. In all the craziness of a summer transition, God has raised up amazing leaders and solidified relationships between teachers, parents and children from the past school year!
Personally, I have had to lean heavily on others due to health and typical life transitions, but relying on others has been surprisingly difficult. Someone pointed out to me that the coined phrase “God will never give you more than you can bear” is a false truth. At first I balked at this assertion, but after inquiring further the real truth came out–God will never give us more than He can bear! When things get incredibly hard it is amazing how free we can be when we release things to Him through prayer! Prayer is a life line of magnificent proportions! However, if we feel we can carry even a piece of the load on our own, we will be crushed. God is an all protecting and all supporting Father to those who rely fully on Him, and while this may seem easy to say, it is not easy to live out. Perhaps because we feel as adults that we need to represent strength and security to our families we miss the lesson children teach us by living moment by moment with a fragile vulnerability of faith and trust in others. We need to mirror the lesson children teach us with our relationship with God. When we live vulnerably before God and seek His will in all things only then can we see true growth in our relationship with Him and with others!
It is good to be back, and I hope to see many of you this Sunday, June 1st for the start of our SummerQuest program. Maybe you will get a chance if you are in preschool to meet my friend “Sam the Construction Man!”
